WELCOME! I’m a native New Yorker who has spent most of my career in sports & entertainment marketing working for phenomenal companies such as Madison Square Garden, the NBA (National Basketball Association), and HBO Sports.
I moved to Tampa, FL in mid-2008 (and yes, I miss the snow!) and began working for a nonprofit children’s wish-granting organization.
Once upon a time (pre-“Real World”), I attended SUNY New Paltz (a state university in upstate New York) in hopes of graduating as a journalism major. (My goal was to become an entertainment reporter.) My plans changed slightly and I graduated with a degree in Interpersonal Communications instead.
That inner itch never diminished (cliche, I know!) and I enrolled in writing classes with some brilliant and encouraging instructors. I began my new "writing career" in December 2010, and had 100+ articles published within the first six months. (I also hold a "day job" at The Nielsen Company, where I'm an Editor.)
In addition to community-oriented stories, I've been working to fulfill that long-standing dream, focusing on entertainment and celebrity profiles.
The two best things about writing?
1. I get to work with incredibly talented editors who I learn from each day.
2. My job allows me the opportunity to meet - and spotlight - some of the most generous, brave, and special people!
